Performances, activities and opportunities to receive a free book while supplies last are featured at a Broward Library BookFest for youngsters and their families.
The family BookFest event in 2025 is 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, and entry is free.

The festival includes
- Young At Art Museum open studio: Hands-on art experiences inspired by Yayoi Kusama and her love of dots
- Musical Petting Zoo and a DIY instrument while supplies last
- Aunty Nadine and Friends present Donkey Seh: a Jamaican Folklore performance with puppets and props in song and dance
- USVI Mocko Jumbie Stilt Dancers
- Fire and Ice science experiments
- Ms. Tracy Sings
- face painting
- Chinese Lion Dance Team presented by the Coral Springs Chinese Cultural Association
- Capo Capoeira features the Brazilian art of capoeira, which incorporates kicks, fluid movements, acrobatics and music
