Do you and your dog like to dress up in costumes? Do you and your dog resemble each other? Do you and your dog enjoy mingling with other furry friends and their hoomans? Do you and your dog often exercise together, play games or run obstacle courses?
If you answered in the affirmative to any of the above questions, here's an event you'll want to explore:
- What: Dog-Friendly Woofstock
- When: Sunday, May 5, 2024. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Where: The Barnacle Historic State Park, 3485 Main Highway, Miami
- Cost: $2; children under age 6 get in for free.
Now you can show your pup a day of peace, love, and paws for a good cause.
Features include the following:
- Lots of activities
- Local dog vendors
- Dog rescues
- Look-alike contest
- Best pet trick contest
- Best costume contest
Best of all, proceeds from the event will benefit Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and the park. Human companions will have access to food vendors Nello's Pizza, Cafe Vidita, and more.
Well-behaved, socialized dogs are welcome. Dogs must be leashed at all times except for designated off-leash areas. Leashes must be 6 feet long or shorter, with no retractable leads unless necessary. Please don't take your puppy unless it is over 16 weeks old, fully vaccinated, and fully boostered.
