Exciting drone show at Pompano Beach Pier is free

Pompano Beach is presenting free dazzling drone shows over the ocean.

The shows in 2023 are 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. November 11, with entertainment at 5:30 p.m. that includes  a DJ and The Vam Band, a Funk Tribute Dance Band performing pop/top 40, soul and R&B. 

The drone shows feature about 300 lighted drones forming patterns and pictures in the sky off the Fisher Family Pier at 222 N. Pompano Beach Blvd., Pompano Beach. The two shows are identical and will last 12 to 15 minutes.

An idea of what it's like is featured in  the photo and video below. According to the organizers, the drone show can be seen up to five miles away is the weather is good.

The drone show is presented by Firefly Drone Shows.

Here is the schedule:

  • 5:30 p.m. Entertainment begins
  • 7 p.m. Drone show #1 begins, followed by entertainment
  • 9 p.m. Drone show #2 begins, followed by entertainment
