ChamberSOUTH South Miami Art Festival

smART-MonaThe South Miami Art Festival is one of the highlights of the fall festival season, and this year's takes place Saturday, Nov. 2, and Sunday, Nov. 3.

The event happens in the heart of downtown South Miami and will feature the works of more than 100 national and international artists who showcase and sell ceramics, clay, digital art, textiles, glass, jewelry, metalwork two- and three-dimensional mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, sculpture and wood.

There also will be entertainment on the Main Stage at Sunset Drive and Southwest 58th Avenue.

Vendors will sell food, including roasted corn, Greek food, conch, crab cakes, cinnamon rolls and kettle corn. Call 305-661-1621 for more info.

The festival is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and takes place on Sunset Drive just off U.S. 1 in South Miami.
