Posted by: Just like everything else, retailers are expanding the notion of Black Friday (Nov. 24, 2023) and Cyber Monday (Nov. 27, 2023) deals to include, “Cyber Week” sales, and in many cases, monthlong flash sales. This means, the savvy shopper will not have to wait in line for hours to battle a throng of like-minded bargain-seekers to get the best price. And yes, there are some “Black Friday” deal labels that are also being applied to events and discounts in the month of December, as well.

In fact, what we found is that many shoppers prefer to avoid the in-person rush altogether by doing the legwork online and entering Black Friday codes at checkout. Or, they can choose to get even bigger discounts by using special apps or browser plug-ins that automatically compare and find the lowest priced deal.
But if you like the rush and hustle and bustle of in-person browsing, by all means, let the spending begin. Following is a list of sales offers we found this year for you to check out.
TV streaming services
Hulu. New subscribers or eligible returning subscribers can get Hulu for only 99 cents a month for 12 months on a Hulu with ads plan. That’s 87% off. After 12 months, the price auto-renews at $7.99 per month or the current regular monthly price. You can cancel anytime, with no refunds or credits for partial months. This offer is only for new and eligible returning subscribers (those who have not been Hulu subscribers in the past month). The deal is good through Nov. 28, 2023.
Local Attractions
The Adrienne Arsht Center is offering a Cyber Monday deal, 30% off tickets to more than 30 plays, concerts, musicals and more. Use promo code CYBER23. The sale starts at 12 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, and runs through 11:59 p.m. Monday light.
Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is offering BOGO (buy-one, get-one free) tickets with promo checkout code: TMN241. Note: Before selecting your seats, click the UNLOCK button and enter the code to access the BOGO discount. This is the only area you will need to enter the discount code. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, via Broadway in Fort Lauderdale, is offering BOGO deals on select seats for several shows in November and December, 2023. Miami Seaquarium is offering a special savings on Sea of Lights admission and an exclusive offer on a family four-pack to meet a dolphin. Sale price for Sea of Lights will be slashed from $49 to $29, a 40% savings. This price only applies on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023. Marlins fans can give and get the gift of baseball. The Miami Marlins have launched their Black Friday offer: See Marlins.com/Black Friday. It runs from Friday, Nov. 24 to Monday, Nov. 27. Starting at just $99, it includes tickets to Opening Day 2024 and three additional games as well as a $50 Fanatics gift card.
Florida Renaissance Festival which is weekends in February and March at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield is offering discounts, including November 24 and November 27, with $5 off for one-day tickets & $30 off season tickets. Regular prices for adults $32 per day and $160 for season tickets. Prices for ages 6 to 12 are $14 per day and $70 for season tickets.
Humane Society of Broward, 954-989-3977 extension 6, 2070 Griffin Road, Dania Beach, is offering pet adoption deals November 24-26, including waived adoption fees for some pets. The deals include half-off adoption fees for pets at least a year old. Pets available for adoption are featured on the Humane Society website.
Brightline is offering Bright Friday deals valid until November 27 for travel until February 2024 hat include one-way SMART fares between Orlando and South Florida for adults from $59 and 50% off for youngsters. Travel to Orlando on Thanksgiving is $39 for adults and $20 for kids.
Coral Springs Center For The Arts, 954-344-5990, 2855 Coral Springs Drive 33065, is offering ticket deals. The deals are valid for purchases until December 3 with discounts of 25% off and 50% off. Use code CYBER23.
Santa's Enchanted Forest is offering adult tickets (for those 9 and older) for the price of a child's ticket. The deal is good for season passes and single-day tickets. Use the promo code KIDAGAIN. You must be this deal online. The single-day tickets are good only through Dec. 22 and only Sunday through Friday.
Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida is offering 20% off tickets to “Celebrate The Holidays.” The show is 8 p.m. December 13 at Hard Rock Live. Use discount code GMCSF20 on Ticketmaster. The offer is valid until November 27, with regular prices about $38 to $156.
2023 Pre-Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals and beyond:
- Best Buy has several sales flyers to peruse, including those for Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals you can flip through here. Most stores open: Monday 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Tuesday-Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Kohl's: Special sales start Nov. 19. You can flip through the kohls.com online catalog here. Most stores open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, however some may have extended hours around certain holidays and may open at 8 a.m. or close at 10 p.m. certain weekends.
- JCPenny: This year's sale starts Nov. 17 and some specials end Nov. 28. You can flip through the jcp.com online catalog here. Most stores open Monday-Thursday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Macy's sales start Nov. 24, 2023. Flip through Macy's Black Friday online catalog here. Most store hours: Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Target is kicking off early Black Friday savings with week-long Holiday Best deals, that have already started. Every Sunday, Target will unveil new week-long deals, available in stores, online. Target weekly ads run Sunday through Saturday and will show you which deals are available. Plus, purchases are backed by Target’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee. So, if the price on an item goes lower at Target later in the season, they will match it. Target will also match select competitors' pricing within 14 days of purchase. The holiday guarantee is in effect through Dec. 24, 2023. All Target locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Most stores will reopen at 7 a.m. on Black Friday, Nov. 24, 2023.
