For youngsters and others who enjoy tooling around on wheels, lots of recreation departments in Broward offer events that focus on information about bikes and bicycle safety. Some include bike rides, helmet fittings and bike rodeos for youngsters.

Family Night Bicycle Safety Bingo is 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 3, registration online is required and entry is free. The event includes safety information and helmet fittings. Participants are eligible to obtain free helmets while supplies last. The event is at Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road, Weston 33327
Weston
Let's Go Biking includes a leisure bike ride of eight miles, helmet fittings and DJ entertainment. Activities for kids and a raffle are part of the event.
It's 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, April 5 and entry is free.
The venue is Town Center Park, 1900 Bell Tower Lane, Weston 33326.

Davie
Bike Fest & Bike Rodeo is 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Vista View Park, 4001 SW 142nd Avenue, Davie 33330
The event includes DJ entertainment, bike safety, a bike ride, bounce house, games, information booths and activities for kids. Entry to Vista View Park on weekends is $3 per vehicle with up to 8 people. Parking is free.
Sunrise
Bike safety lessons are included at an auto show event 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at Welleby Park, 11100 NW 44th St., Sunrise. The event includes vintage vehicles on display & food trucks. Parking is offered at the Hiatus Road entrance of the park.

Sunrise
Rodeo & Biking 101 is 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Sunday, March 9 with information on proper way to ride a bike. Bring your own bike or borrow a bike at the event if supplies are available.
The venue is Markham Park is at 16001 W. State Road. 84, Sunrise. Entry to the park on weekends is $3 per vehicle with up to 8 people.
Hollywood
Bike Rodeo at TY Park in Hollywood is 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16 features information on safe biking. TY Park is at 3300 N. Park Road, Hollywood. Weekend entry fees are $3 per vehicle with up to 8 people.
