Baskin-Robbins celebrates 80th birthday with 80-cent ice cream scoops for one day only

You can’t have birthday cake without ice cream! Baskin-Robbins, the world’s largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, is celebrating its milestone 80th birthday on Dec. 7, 2025 and everyone’s invited to the party.

Since opening in Glendale, California back on Dec. 7, 1945, Baskin-Robbins started with a bold “31 flavors” promise – one delicious flavor for every day of the month.

Founders Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins were innovators who introduced taste spoons, launched the iconic Birthday Club and sparked a flavor revolution that’s led to the creation of more than 1,400 unique flavors over the last eight decades.

This December, Baskin-Robbins is spreading holiday cheer with a lineup of festive offerings:

Peppermint Flavor of the Month: Packed with real peppermint candy pieces, customers can enjoy the limited-time flavor throughout December.

Peppermint Avalanche Cake in a Box: The festive dessert layers rich chocolate cake, Peppermint Ice Cream, OREO cookie crumbs, peppermint crunch candy bits, whipped frosting and Fudge. 

Holiday Capp Line-Up: The Cappy is a rich blend of coffee, ice cream and ice, topped with whipped cream. Choose from the Peppermint Fudge Cappy (peppermint ice cream blended with Arabica coffee and fudge, finished with whipped cream, fudge and peppermint candy pieces) and Chocolate Fudge Cappy (real coffee is blended with chocolate ice cream and rich fudge, topped with whipped cream and a fudge drizzle.)

80th Birthday Special

To celebrate its 80th birthday, Baskin-Robbins is offering fans a scoop of their favorite ice cream for just 80 cents on Dec. 7, 2025 at participation locations.
