Fix it: Free repair workshop for electronics, fashion & other items
If you like the idea of fixing something, rather than tossing it in the trash, a repair workshop in Deerfield Beach is for you.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, The Art Lab is hosting a "Fix It, Don't Toss It" event at the Northeast Focal Point At Braithwaite Center For Active Aging from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Created for Florida Climate Week, this hands-on community gathering connects you with talented fixers to give your clothes, gadgets and small furniture a second life completely free of charge.
Participants may bring their own items to work on. If they'd rather, select something already on hand to fix and learn from knowledgeable volunteers.
