Free Observe the Moon Night event at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

Come celebrate International Observe the Moon night at the the Key Biscayne landmark Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park at their free community event on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 7-9 p.m. The minimal park entry fee is the only payment required.

Observe the moon while learning about lunar science and exploration from special guest astronomers who will lead the stargazing experience. They'll bring special equipment for everyone to view and photograph and night sky using Astro Photography.

The festivities will also include music, poetry, five-minute moon stories, moon tattoos and community partner/vendor displays. There will also be Nimbuya Juicy Lucy Burgers and Kona ice treats for sale.

Everyone is encouraged to bring a folding chair and a reusable cup.
