Sweet Potato Pie Juneteenth Festival in Pompano Beach offers free entry

Sweet potato pie. Performances. Food vendors. Juneteenth festivities in Pompano Beach include the Blues and Sweet Potato Pie Festival.

In 2026, the festival is 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 13, and entry is free. It's at Apollo Park, 1580 NW Third  Avenue, Pompano Beach 33060.

The event includes games and face painting for kids, food vendors, and performances.  

The event is presented by Friends of Northwest Branch Library, 954-357-6599, with Pompano Beach, Broward Library and other partners.

Juneteenth, which is celebrated June 19, is a holiday representing the abolition of slavery in the United States. It commemorates the day in 1865 that the Emancipation Proclamation was honored in Texas.
