Free bike trails also good for walking in Palm Beach
Weather update, check; pumped up tires, check; water and energy bar, check. Then, put on your bike shorts, grab your wheels and helmet and go explore and discover something new in The Palm Beaches - for free! You don't have to be a snowbird or visitor to enjoy the Florida outdoors. If you're not up for a bicycle ride, then put on your sunscreen and head out for an awesome stroll.
Take the scenic route: Palm Beach Lake Trail
Riding along the western edge of Palm Beach, this 5½-mile trail affords both dramatic vistas and intimate peeks into some of the island’s most palatial properties. You’ll pass landmarks like the Flagler Museum and a giant kapok tree, originally brought to Florida from the Amazon, along South Lake Trail, Whitehall Way and The Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Beach. The trail has two interruptions where walkers must navigate sidewalks and an intersection, but the trail is otherwise complete and well maintained.

This old, meandering path takes you along walls draped with bougainvillea and ivy, where the people of Palm Beach mingle with anyone who wishes to take a walk or ride along one of the most scenic spots in Florida.
