Thanksgiving is upon us, and it’s hard NOT to be grateful we live in Miami. Our holiday seasons are more outdoor barbecue than chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and that’s a good thing. Winter in Miami is, simply, glorious.
Winter is also the time we get to enjoy homemade cinnamon rolls in Homestead, fruit shakes, walking on the beach, Art Basel and the Everglades. And Thanksgiving is a good time to remember that, annoying as they can be in traffic, Miami’s people are interesting and give our city a wonderful cultural vibe.
We shared our list of things to be thankful for in Miami with our friends at CubeSmart. You may have more to add.
Miami on the Cheap has partnered with CubeSmart, a national self-storage company with a number of locations in South Florida, from Miami to Broward to West Palm Beach, to provide content for its City Moving Guide for Miami.
As CubeSmart’s City Guide Expert for Miami, I’ll be sharing insights on Miami from the perspective of a South Florida local. Each month, I’ll share a new article aimed at introducing newcomers to Miami, that special place we all call home. If you’ve got ideas for what to tell newcomers, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Disclosure: I’ve partnered with CubeSmart as the company’s local expert in Miami. Articles are written by me and are my opinion.
