The Miami-Dade County Parks Department wants to make it easier for park-lovers to enjoy the area’s great outdoors, even if it’s from their home.
It has put together #ThePlayground, a series of interactive videos that can be viewed through Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.
To keep up with latest news, sign up for the daily Miami on the Cheap newsletter. You can also follow us on Facebook and on Twitter.
The segments will focus on everything from behind-the-scenes experiences with Miami-Dade County Parks’ staff to virtual tours of area attractions to arts and crafts activities for the kids. The premiere episode featured Zoo Miami’s Ron Magill live from the attraction talking about elephants. There also have been virtual fitness workouts and an aquatic tour hosted by Miami EcoAdventures.
Just keep checking Miami-Dade County Parks’ social media accounts for more – and be sure to use the hashtag #ThePlayground if you want to engage and have some fun with it.
