Four Miami-Dade venues are participating in Saturday’s international Slow Art Day on April 27, 2013.
Slow Art Day is designed to encourage people to look at art, slowly. Participants look at five works of art for 10 minutes each and then meet over lunch to talk about their experience. The event is run by volunteers. Participation is free, but attendees have to pay their own museum admission (if any) and buy their own lunch.
These are the Miami-Dade galleries and museums participating so far. It’s possible others will be added before Saturday. Click on the links for addresses and to sign up to attend.
