Sometimes Santa soars in a flying sleigh. While in South Florida, he apparently enjoys traveling by river in a lighted water sleigh.
He and his reindeer will be navigating the Middle River in Wilton Manors about 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, weather permitting.
As part of the event, titled Santa by the Sea, Ol’ St. Nick is scheduled to launch from the Colohatchee Boat Ramp. Spectators watch Santa from local parks on the waterway with the voyage estimated to run through 7:30 or 8 p.m. Opportunities to interact with Santa may be available before he embarks on his voyage!
Watch zone:
- Colohatchee Boat Ramp, 1975 NE 15th Ave, Wilton Manors 33305
Other possible watch areas, depending on his route, include:
- Island City Park Preserve, 823 NE 28th St., Wilton Manors
- Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve, 1937 Wilton Drive, Wilton Manors
