New World Symphony free pre-season concerts

The New World Symphony presents free pre-season concerts this weekend and next. While the performances are free, tickets are required.

Here are the free New World Symphony Concerts:

  • Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Brass and Woodwind Ensemble Conductor Joseph Fields leads the 32nd season opening concert in exuberant fanfares for brass by Giovanni Gabrieli, woodwinds playing Gounod and brass and percussion fellows playing Bernstein.
  • Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. String Ensemble Concert: String Serenades Concert conducted by Kazem Abdullah featuring selections by Mozart, Bartok and Korngold.

All performances will be at the New World Center, 500 17th St., Miami Beach.
