The Covid 19 Mental Health & Wellness Event is set to help support, educate and empower families living with mental health challenges.
This event is a great way to ‘Recharge And Connect With Others’ post-COVID and to celebrate fathers and men in the community.
Unfortunately, after more than two years of interrupted lives and wondering what the next month would bring, the pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health of many of our communities.
RER Consulting LLC, in partnership with New Horizons Community Mental Health Center and Miami Dade County, will host their Covid-19 Mental Health and Wellness Community Day on Saturday, June 18, at JL (Joe) and Enid W. Demps Park, 11350 SW 216th St., from 12-3 p.m. The event is free.
“The day is dedicated to increasing and elevating dialogue around mental health and well-being issues in a positive, celebratory way,” says Ruban Roberts, Founder, and CEO, of RER Consulting, LLC. in a statement.
The Covid -19 Mental Health and Wellness community event will include wellness with physical health and mental health activities that include
A community health fair
Mental health and wellness panel discussion
Celebration of men and fathers in the community
Providing a space for people to gather and learn about the available services to help through this time
Barbecue celebration for the fathers and men of the community
