Restaurants and businesses are offering deals, some for everyone, and some exclusively for military and veterans.
Patriotic events & programs:
Hollywood
6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023. Hollywood's Salute to the Fallen includes food trucks, DJ, and live band, the Silver Wings. The event is at Boulevard Heights Amphitheater, 6770 Garfield Street. Bring chair or blanket. No single use plastics. Parking is free.
Sunrise
The City of Sunrise's Memorial Day Ceremony will start at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 29. The tribute to the U.S. military personnel who lost their lives will include speakers, placement of a wreath, bagpipes and the presentation of colors. The venue is Sunrise Civic Center Theater, 10610 West Oakland Park Boulevard.
Davie
The Boy Scouts of America will host a Memorial Day Parade and Service starting at 10:15 a.m. Monday, May 29. The parade will begin at the Davie Fire Administration building, 6901 Orange Drive, and conclude at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4271 Davie Road. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m.

Deering Estate discount for Memorial Day weekend

Monday, May 29, at 10 a.m. The City of Miami Beach, in partnership with the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars 3559 Miami Beach Post, pays tribute to the memory of the men and women who fought and died for freedom with a wreath-laying ceremony and 21-gun salute this Memorial Day. The ceremony will take place at the War Memorial Cenotaph in front of Miami Beach Police Headquarters, 1100 Washington Ave.
North Miami Beach
Monday, May 29, at 10 a.m. there will be a Memorial Day Service at Corporal Howard B. Hinson Park, located at 160 St. and NE 14 Ave.)to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

McDonald’s
