People say it’s hard to make friends in Miami, though that was not my experience. But newcomers especially may need to invest some time and effort in finding their tribe.
Because Miami has so many newcomers, it’s easier to find people who are open to new friendships, if you know where to look. Business networking events, volunteer activities and joining with others for hobbies are a good place to start.
We shared some tips on places to meet people and make friends in Miami with our friends at CubeSmart.
Miami on the Cheap has partnered with CubeSmart, a national self-storage company with a number of locations in South Florida, from Miami to Broward to West Palm Beach, to provide content for its City Moving Guide for Miami.
As CubeSmart’s City Guide Expert for Miami, I’ll be sharing insights on Miami from the perspective of a South Florida local. Each month, I’ll share a new article aimed at introducing newcomers to Miami, that special place we all call home. If you’ve got ideas for what to tell newcomers, email me at email@example.com.
Disclosure: I’ve partnered with CubeSmart as the company’s local expert in Miami. Articles are written by me and are my opinion.
