She/her/hers…From goddesses to factory workers, powerful women make frequent appearances in Wolfsonian holdings as striking reminders that patriarchy has never gone unchallenged. This exhibit not only illustrates the historical impact of feminine influence but it also captures their resilience, courage and hope for the future.
Led by Bookleggers Library director Nathaniel Sandler and featuring The Wolfsonian’s own Sandra Hazim and Carlton Maloney, this evening of super women and the people who love them will spotlight the collection’s heroines and show how they resonate with both ancient myth and today’s pop culture. Bonus feature: Perhaps a glimpse at Maloney’s personal collection of Wonder Woman memorabilia (and tattoo?). Register to attend the free event here.
“The Wolf,” as it’s affectionately known, is a museum that explores the inventive and provocative character of the modern world through objects and design to reveal how the past influences the present and shapes the future.
