Free Family Day at Miami Beach’s Bass Museum

The Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach offers a Free Family Day and Art Cares activities on the last Sunday of most months.

Families are invited to enjoy special activities such as arts projects and scavenger hunts. The event is from 2 to 4 p.m.

April 7… Art Outside Annual Picnic from 3-6 p.m.
 
The Bass’ official 60th birthday for our picnic celebration!

Colin Cowie, American lifestyle advisor, author, interior designer and party planner, will be the day's special guest judge for the Best Picnic Setup contest.

Drop by the Giant Loom to weave a community Bass Blanket. Stop by the Creativity Center Teen Board lemonade stand to cool off and explore STEAM art activities with Moonlighter Fab Lab.

Enjoy outdoor concerts by Fellows of the New World SymphonyYoung Musicians Unite and DJ nosocials. Sip and chill at the Dry Farm Wines Rosé Garden, or  browse and shop artisanal vendors including Little River FleaNoeli Morejon, Jorge Rafael Calderon and Patrick Oleson. At The Shop Popup, see featured works by Brigette HoffmanKaren Starosta and Maru Jensen. Plus, stop by The Humane Society of Greater Miami and consider adopting a pet!

Other free days and discounts at the Bass Museum:

  • Free admission every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. during the Miami Beach Culture Crawl, which takes place October through May. On April 18, choose between a figure drawing class presented by Raw Figs, Social Assembly Game Night: Win, Lose or Draw or Teen Takeover: Figure Sculpting
  • Free admission for Bank of America cardholders the first full weekend of every month, both Saturday and Sunday.
  • Free admission for residents and employees of the city of Miami Beach with ID and proof of residence.
  • Free admission for active-duty and retired military personnel, plus one guest.
  • Free admission for SNAP EBT cardholders, plus up to three guests.
  • Free admissions for people with a disability protected under the ADA and one caregiver.
  • Discount admission for seniors 65 and older, students with college ID and youth 7 to 18 is $8.
  • Children 6 and under are free
  • Museum members are free.
