Ice skating in Miami? Children’s museum says yes

Miami Children’s Museum is bringing the chill this holiday season with the unveiling of a brand new and highly anticipated exhibit, Winter Wonderland Exhibit featuring: Wonders of Winter & Sock Skating Rink!

The Winter Wonderland exhibit officially opens to the public on Sunday November 20, 2022 and is the perfect opportunity for South Florida children to experience and learn about cooler climates. Glide and twirl in your socks in the indoor sock skating rink while learning about the characteristics and qualities of snow. Read about all things winter in the Reading Nook and create artwork inspired by different Holidays Around the World. Don’t miss this enchanting exhibit open through January 8, 2023. 

The Miami Children’s Museum is located at 980 MacArthur Causeway, Miami, Florida 33132.

Tickets:

The museum is now operating on an advanced contactless e-ticketing system. Tickets must be purchased before your visit for one of the following timed play sessions: 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. –  6 p.m.

Costs (includes fees):

Museum members are free.

City of Miami Resident Adult: $14

City of Miami Resident Child: $14 (kids under 1 year are free)

Florida Resident Adult: $18

Florida Resident Child: $18 (kids under 1 year are free)

Adult General Admission: $26

Child General Admission: $26 (kids under 1 year are free)

Hours:
Open Daily: 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. –  6 p.m.
Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve: Close at 3 p.m.
New Year’s Day: Open at 1 p.m.

Parking:
The Miami Parking Authority operates a parking lot (with 343 spaces) located on the east side of the Museum. There are two automated pay stations on the lot. Rates are $2 per hour, seven days a week. For more information, please visit Miami Parking Authority or call 305-373-6789.
