Wheel on over to the Pinecrest Community Center at 5855 Killian Dr. on Saturday, March 15, for the Fifth Annual Bike Ride Day from 9 a.m. to noon.
The safety and information fair will include a bicycle rodeo, where children will ride through an obstacle course to learn about bicycle safety.
At 10 a.m., participants will have their choice of a two-, three- or four-mile loop course through Pinecrest’s scenic streets. All loops will be closed to traffic. All types of bicycles are welcome, including stroller, tandem and recumbent styles.
At 11:30 a.m. sponsors will raffle gym memberships, major league sports tickets and other family-friendly items. Sponsors will also fit and give away bicycle helmets, while supplies last.
The goal of Bike Ride Day is to encourage student and family participation in activities geared toward healthy and active lifestyles.
