The Fullei Fresh Marketplace will host its sixth installment of their Wellness Series, “Food as Medicine” with West Kendall Baptist Hospital’s Executive Chef Rod Knight and Baptist Health’s Wellness Dietician Natalie Castro.
Talks begin at 10 a.m. and all are invited to stay afterwards for a yoga session and to mingle and network until 1 p.m.
During the talks the chef and dietician will share what they are doing to change the food environment, culture and patient care at Baptist Health South Florida.
They will show how delicious nutritious meals can aid in healing and promote good health, showcasing sprouts, shoots and wheatgrass, and how you can incorporate them into your diet to supercharge your health.
This event is also the perfect opportunity to learn about wellness programs through Florida Blue, experience doTERRA essential oils, and sample Fullei Fresh’s sprouts, shoots and wheatgrass.
Chef Rod provides patients, staff and the community with delicious, nutritious meals that aid in healing and promote good health. In Chef Rod’s kitchen, “clean eating” and “farm to fork” are not simply catch phrases.
Natalie Castro is the Nutrition and Wellness Manager at Baptist Health South Florida, who oversees the food and nutrition policy for the organization. She is certified in adult weight management.
