The Centro Cultural Espanol in downtown Miami is known for presenting a diverse offering of cultural events including concerts, theater and dance performances. Many are free.
From May 11-20, the center is dedicating various shows to the art of flamenco, from the fiery music to the passionate dance as part of its FlamenGO series. The free and cheap events are listed below.
- Now through May 21: Microtheater Miami presents “A Taste of Passion” at 8 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday; “Golfa Session” at 11 pm Friday and Saturday and 7 pm Sunday. Tickets: $5 per person per play.
- May 11 at 7 pm: Opening exhibition “Living in Flamenco: Photographs by Migdalia Salazar.”
- May 12 at 7 pm: FlamenGO Passion Party features music, dance and microtheater. Special surprise organize by Siudy Flamenco Program at 8 pm. Free Spanish ham courtesy of Fermin Iberico and manchego cheese courtesy of Deliberico, tinto de verano and our new cocktail Torero.
