The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at FIU is hosting a free family day on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The theme is “Exploring the world through Nature’s Colors.”
Several activities take place throughout the day at different locations around the museum. Kids are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes.
Here’s what’s on the schedule with all activities themed around the museum’s current exhibitions:
- Create your own mech-animals, a combination of animal and machine.
- Make botanical masks.
- Create water reflections, Everglades scenery and geometric color combinations.
- A costume parade.
- Time in the Family Discovery Gallery.
- Music, food, face painting and storytelling for the deaf with Waving Hands.
