Elvis is back in the building at the UM Cosford Cinema on September 7 at 9 p.m. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the film ‘Elvis’ chronicles the life of American music icon Elvis Presley, from his childhood to becoming a rock and movie star in the 1950s while maintaining a complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
These University of Miami Cinematic Arts Commission screenings are free and open to the public. University of Miami students and faculty with Cane Cards get priority seating, so show up early.
Elvis stars Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Kodi Smit-McPhee. The film is rated PG-13 for substance abuse, strong language, suggestive material and smoking.
