Outdoor dining: Free events with food trucks in South Florida

For an outdoor activity in which you can savor lovely weather AND tasty fare, South Florida will be the site of several food truck events.

Some of the events include music or other entertainment. Food truck events are usually free to attend, with food for sale from various vendors. Because dates are occasionally switched or events are discontinued, it’s always wise to call ahead or refer to the information online for confirmation.

Events in Broward County


Food Trucks in Volunteer Park in Plantation, usually 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesdays.


Free Tunes & Trucks events in Sunrise, events include May 13 featuring entertainment with The Rock Show performing ’60s-’80s favorites.  Sunrise Amphitheater, 10610 W. Oakland Park Blvd.& various other Fridays

Pompano Beach

Dania Beach

Dania After Dark offers festivities with entertainment, vendors, artists, artisans and food trucks on second Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Coral Springs

Bites-n-Sips events include food vendors, drink stations, vendors, fun for kids, and live entertainment. Entry is free.  Fees apply for food and some activities. Occasional eents are offered from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on The Lawn, 9500 W. Sample Road, Coral Springs
