Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is one of those local favorite places to get away. Here is a list of upcoming events:
March 28 @ 6 pm
Gardens by Moonlight ft. “Waffles After Work” – Tour the gardens, learn how technology is making Vizcaya’s iconic Barge accessible and, of course, enjoy waffles with LiveNinja! Waffles and beer included with each ticket purchase.

April 1 @ 2 pm
Overload with David Brooks – New York artist David Brooks returns to Vizcaya to join the community for an in-depth exploration of his installation, “Of Discriminating Artistic Feeling.” Brooks’ work consists of three bird cages on display throughout Vizcaya’s Main House, recalling James Deering’s love of exotic birds, monkeys and other animals. A local bird expert will add specialist knowledge to the conversation, and the program will round off with the release of a newly rehabilitated pelican from Vizcaya’s East Terrace back into the wild.

April 8 @ 11 am
Nutrition with Common Threads – Join Common Threads in the Vizcaya Village, once home to Vizcaya’s farm, to get your hands dirty with edible plants. Explore our kitchen garden, talk nutrition with the crew from Common Threads in an interactive cooking demo and leave with a full belly! Food included!
TICKETS: $18 for adults, $12 for seniors, $6 for children (6-12), free for children 5 and under.

Baynanza Cleanup – Vizcaya is a proud site of the county’s biggest cleanup of the year, supporting and healthier and more beautiful Biscayne Bay.

O Miami Poetry Festival at Vizcaya – Celebrate Poetry Month as O Miami takes over Vizcaya with #ZipOdes, a theme for creating poetry inspired by Miami’s own neighborhoods. Guests will be delighted by local bards and scribes as they enjoy Vizcaya’s iconic vistas and complimentary beer. For those interested in participating as a featured poet, you can submit your original poem online through WLRN until April 20.

Yoga with a View – Join experienced instructor Arianne Traverso for a 60-minute, all-level vinyasa class and breathe in the beauty of Vizcaya. Children 7 and older welcome with parental supervision.

Seersucker Social for Mother’s Day – Vizcaya’s popular Seersucker Social is getting a makeover for Mother’s Day and taking over the estate on Sunday, May 13, from 11 am to 2 pm. Now a daytime celebration, the 1920s-themed soiree invites guests of all ages to enjoy a glamorous garden party featuring music, dancing and a variety of outdoor games, from lawn bowling to yard dice.
TICKETS: Free with museum admission. Free for members.
June 10 @ 11 am
Sensing Music – Join us for a musical experience for the senses as we explore the instruments in Vizcaya’s collection! This family program features a mini-concert and a hands-on activity where guests will make their own instruments. Recommended ages: 6-12.
