Put on your dancing shoes. Swing Out, South Florida offers dance lessons and dance socials in Fort Lauderdale.
The events include a lesson at 7:45 p.m. and a dance event 8:30 p.m. with a DJ playing Swing and Jazz. Entry fee is $10 for adults and $6 for students. The event brings together dancers from teens to retirees, who dance to jazz, swing and other vintage styles.
The events in 2025 include April 30, May 10, June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6, August 20. The “taster” lessons and social dances are usually every other Wednesday night.
May 10 is jazz night, featuring Svetlana and the Delancey Three, a popular swing dance band from New York. Entry for live jazz night is $15 for adults and $10 for students. The lesson at 7:45 p.m. is free.
