The 48rd Saint Catherine Greek Festival will be Feb. 17-19, 2023, in West Palm Beach.
The annual festival will feature homemade Greek food such as stuffed grape leaves, moussaka and gyros, plus imported Greek wine, pastries such as baklava, Greek coffee, plus Greek olive oil, honey, pita bread, feta cheese and other Greek groceries for sale.
Entertainment will include live Greek music and dancing, with music by the Karavani Orchestra featuring George Stahos on the clarinet, Nikos Romanos “O Maestros” on vocals and keyboards and Stefanos Hadjistefanou on vocals and bouzouki. You can even take lessons in Greek dancing an learn the Sirtaki, Zorba's Dance.
The award-winning “Heart of Greece” Greek Folk Dance Group and the Hellenic Dance Festival Competition Team “Athanato Fos” will perform dances from various regions of Greece, Crete, the Aegean Islands and Pontos, in full traditional dress.
There will also be a boutique with arts and crafts.
The festival will include tours of St. Catherine Church, built in 1952 with Byzantine architecture.
- Friday, Feb. 17: noon to 11 p.m. Free admission.
- Saturday, Feb. 18: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. $5 donation for admission, with accompanied children under 12 free.
- Sunday, Feb. 19: noon to closing. $5 donation for admission, with accompanied children under 12 free.
St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church is at 110 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. It's located on the corner of Southern Boulevard and Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach, at the foot of the Southern Boulevard Bridge overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.
