Ode to Joy – A New Year’s Eve Celebration Concert, Collins Park, 2100 Collins Ave., Miami
Orchestra Miami presents the ultimate New Year’s Eve Celebration on Friday, Dec. 31 from 7 p.m. to midnight – an unforgettable, family-friendly, free beachfront concert of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (Ode to Joy), performed by Orchestra Miami, the region’s premiere professional orchestra. Tickets to this event are free and can be reserved here.
Bayfront Park New Year’s Eve, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
Celebrate New Year’s Eve Miami style at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami. This huge street party runs from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 31 and will keep you entertained well into the first hours of the new year. General admission is free but VIP tickets are also available for purchase at bayfrontnye.com.
Broward New Year’s Eve Events
Noon Year’s Eve at Museum of Discovery & Science, 401 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale
If there’s a celebration for the adults, there must certainly be one for the kids. The Museum of Discovery & Science in Fort Lauderdale will host festivities from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event is included with regular entry fees, $19-$24 for non-members, free for members. Sugar Sand Park Holiday Funtacular, 300 S. Military Trail, Boca Raton
For ages 4-8, fun activities, DJ, dancing, ball drop and games 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. December 31, with parent or guardian supervision required. Register by Dec. 30. Fees are $10 for Boca Raton residents and $12.50 for nonresidents. Entry is free for one adult with child, $3 for each additional adult. Information is online.
