Free movie: Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

Miami Beach OnStage! presents free movies, concerts and dance performances through September 2022 at different Miami Beach locations including Lummus Park, Normandy Fountain Plaza, Pride Park, Muss Park, Altos Del Mar Park, Collins Park Plaza, Lincoln Road and the North Beach Bandshell.

In addition to free Summer Movies Under the Stars, other big events over the summer include a new production of synchronized swimming and poetry by O, Miami and artist Monica Lopez de Victoria (who brought us last year’s sold-out performance of “Submerging Geometry”), North Beach favorite Anibal Berraute’s “Milonga Under the Stars”, Brazilian and Latin jazz as well as the The Rhythm Foundation’s Seaside Summer 2022.

FRIDAY, JULY 8: Free Concert

Lummus Park (12 Street and Ocean Drive). 6 to 8 p.m. 
Miami Beach OnStage! in partnership with the Global Arts Project presents The Miami Big Sound Orchestra (MBSO) with guest Lenard Rutledge. MBSO is an 18-piece powerhouse group of Miami-based musicians.

Miami Beach OnStage! in partnership with Power Access presents The South Beach Jazz Festival Summer Series with Oriente. Oriente is a four-piece Latin Jazz ensemble of guitar, vocals, upright bass, and percussion.

Miami Co-Director Hannah Baumgarten takes audiences on a journey from fantasy through poetry to athleticism with a site-specific dance performance at the Bent Pool (2019) Elmgreen & Dragset Miami Beach Public Art Installation. One duet and one solo play out emotional journeys on either side of this surreal environment. Music: Claude Debussy. To be performed twice with live musical accompaniment guided by musical director Aleksandar Djuric with production design by Bruce F. Brown.

A woman struggles desperately to escape a from her invisible confinement, sometimes withdrawing, other times slamming up against its walls. Original Music: Cliff Sutton, marimba and cajon. To be performed twice with live musical accompaniment guided by musical director Aleksandar Djuric with production design by Bruce F. Brown.

The Rhythm Foundation presents the Seaside Summer 2022: La Dame Blanche
Tigre Sounds and Rhythm Foundation kick off a Global Sounds Concert Series for citizens of the world with this debut by the Cuban singer,  flautist and percussionist Yaite Ramos Rodriguez, aka La Dame Blanche.
