While educators deserve accolades year-round, Teacher Appreciation Day & National Teacher Appreciation Week are ideal occasions to offer words of thanks and gifts to teaching staff.

During Teacher Appreciation Week in May, retailers, restaurants, even some vacation providers often offer teachers a little something extra.

Restaurants

Shake Shack: Teachers enjoy a free mini-shake May 8 – 12 at Shake Shack

Sonic Drive-In:  Participating Sonic Drive-In restaurants are offering teachers, faculty and staff at K-12 and degree-granting universities in America a free cheeseburger with purchase.  For the offer, educators need to enroll in the Sonic Teachers’ Circle, an awards program exclusively available for educators.

McAlister’s Deli: From May 3 – 10, teachers and nurse receive a free 32-oz. tea at McAlister’s Deli. The offer is not valid on flavored shots or other beverages. 

Firehouse Subs is thanking teachers for their efforts with a big giveaway for Teacher Appreciation Week.   At participation shops from May 8 – 12, teachers enjoy a  free medium sub with the purchase of an additional medium or large sub, chips and drink.  The offer is only valid in-shop, not online or for delivery. Teachers must show a school ID or other proof of employment at the register to redeem. Limit one per customer. 

Subway:  The sub shop is offering May 1 – 12 a buy-one-get-one free footlong sub deal  online. Other  Subway deals and specials

Panda Express: From April 24 to May 14, the popular eatery is offering a free bowl with  purchase of a $30 gift card online.

Red Robin: From April 24 –  June 18, Red Robin is offering a $5 Bonus Bucks reward with the the purchase of a $25 gift card. Deal is available for anyone at participating venues.

Burger King: Teachers and other Royal Perks members get free fries with any purchase every week through June 30. The offer is only available to Royal Perks members.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Through May 30, Buffalo Wild Wings is offering six boneless wings for just $1 with the purchase of any BBW Burger. The offer is open to all customers.

Insomnia Cookies: Participating Insomnia Cookies venues are offering teachers and nurses  a free six-pack of Classic Cookies with a $5 in-shop purchase. The deal is offered May 5- 12, with information on Facebook. Teachers include daycare, preschool, K-12 or higher education educators or staff members employed by a school or daycare.

Logan’s Roadhouse: The restaurant is offering teachers 20% off their tab May 8 -12, the offer is also available to nurses.

 

Retailers

Office Depot: Teachers with an rewards membership receive 30% bonus rewards on eligible regular priced purchases April 2 – July 1, up to $100 per week. 

Staples:  Teachers earn $30 back in rewards May 7 -13 when they spend $100 or more in-store. In addition, through May 27, the office supply store is offering $15 off signs, banners and posters when you spend $75 or more and $10 off document printing when you spend $40 or more.

Samsung: For teachers, parents and administrators, Samsung’s Education Offers Program offers  extra savings by signing up with an eligible email ID and completing the ID.me verification process.

Eyemart Express:  National optical retailer Eyemart Express is recognizing all teachers with 20% off on all prescription eyewear, along with 2,000 frames, lens upgrades and accessories. The offer is also extended to school administrators and school district employees, including janitors, counselors, and bus drivers. Simply present a valid school ID badge to take advantage of these savings. Eyemart Express offers the discount all year.

Lenovo: Teachers and students save an extra 5% at Lenovo. The discount excludes doorbusters and other select products.

Live Nation: Live Nation’s Concert Week lets fans purchase $25 All-In Tickets for more than 3,800 concerts nationwide the summer and fall. The special from May 10 to 16 includes all fees upfront in the $25 ticket price.
