Soca Step Dance Aerobics in Sunrise

Stretch. Squat. Dance. If you're interested in yoga, Zumba or other group fitness, free exercise programs are offered at public parks, shopping plazas and libraries in Dania, Fort Lauderdale and other towns in Broward. Occasionally free yoga is featured at vendor markets.

Some fitness programs are outside, weather permitting. It's wise to verify the event is on prior to venturing out.

Free Yoga and Other Fitness


Soca Step Dance Aerobics is 7 p.m. June 30, July 28, August 25 and other dates, with registration. The venue is City Park, 6600 Sunset Strip, Sunrise. Phone 954-747-4601 for information. Register online


Register online for free Zumba 7 p.m. Tuesdays in Sunrise. It's at Sunrise civic center, 10610 W. Oakland Park Boulevard, 33351.

Dania Pointe, Dania Beach

Usually free fitness events are offered Wednesdays with  6 p.m. yoga and  7 p.m. Zumba. Dania Pointe , a shopping, dining and entertainment plaza, is at 150 Sunset Drive, Dania Beach.  The plaza offers other free activities and entertainment, including Bubble Bash.


Yoga is 10 a.m. Saturdays at the Botanical Garden. The address is 2400 Civic Center Place 33025. Bring you own mat. Email for information.

 Zumba is 6:30 p.m. Thursdays, and entry is free. It's at Sunset Lakes community center, 2801 SW 186th Avenue 33029.

Low impact aerobics is 9 a.m. Fridays at Youth Enrichment Center. The address is 7000 Miramar Parkway, Miramar. Phone 954-602-3363 for information.


Plantation offers free yoga at different parks. Information and registration are online.

Broward Libraries

Lots of Broward branch libraries, including libraries in Weston, Plantation, and Fort Lauderdale offer free indoor yoga.
