Enjoy Haitian Heritage events at Perez Art Museum

May is Haitian Heritage Month and we’re sharing two great events happening at the Pérez Art Museum (PAMM) that you can enjoy this week!

On May 12, from 5-11 p.m. the Pérez Art Museum will be hosting In Solidarity: Haitian Heritage Night in collaboration with FePouLI.org and the Artists Institute in Haiti. During this special night, guests will get the chance to immerse themselves in Haitian culture through films and discussions moderated by Haitian producer Marc Henry Valmond. The night will conclude with sounds by DJ Graematter on the outdoor terrace that overlooks the Miami Beach skyline.

Tickets for Haitian Heritage Night start at $16 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Discounts and complimentary tickets are available for PAMM members, healthcare professionals, military, first responders, and Florida educators. To purchase tickets, click here.

If you’re looking to sit back and relax while soaking in the Miami views, Thursdays at PAMM Backroom Sessions from 5-8 p.m. at Verde restaurant and bar is just for you. In honor of Haitian Heritage Month, this week’s Backroom Session has DJ AICol spinning dance music that pulls from rhythm from Africa, Haiti, and moombahton. Enjoy happy hour specials or head inside the museum to explore new exhibitions.
