Posted by: Acclaimed Costa Rican sculptor, Maestro Jiménez Deredia, will turn Miami into ‘A Bridge of Light’,
a title that gives life to the exhibition being brought to South Florida, on October 12, 2022. There will be fourteen of his monumental sculptures at the Maurice A. Ferre Park in Downtown Miami – transforming the park into an open and inclusive outdoor museum until March 31, 2023.
Jiménez Deredia is considered one of the most successful and well-known Hispanic plastic artists worldwide for his ability to fuse classical sculptural tradition with elements of Mesoamerican culture; besides being the first Latin American artist to place one of his works in the Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican.
This free and outdoor exhibition is presented by the Bayfront Park Management Trust and the Museum of the Cuban Diaspora. Maurice A. Ferré Park is located at 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132.
