From Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13,  you can check out the stars of the future. Some of the nation’s most talented 17- and 18-year-olds will gather here for YoungArts Week.

They’ll share their gifts in writing, music, visual arts and photography, dance and more; each day’s schedule is here. Tickets are required for some performances. They are free but if you reserve them online there is a service fee. Performances also will be available online via livestream.

On Thursday, March 31, from 6 to 9 p.m., photography will be the featured form at Bal Harbour Art Nights. At 7 p.m. there will be conversation by some of the featured photographers; all evening you can preview installations by the likes of Bruce Weber and Iran Issa-Khan at stores in Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour.

An event celebrating the first solo show by nightlife photographer Jipsy, Just As You Were, will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 8, from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be champagne and wine selections throughout the night. The exhibit will run for free through April 2, by appointment. Butter Gallery, 2301 NW Second Ave.
