Latin music artist Carlos Oliva and his band Los Sobrinos del Juez will perform at Tropical Park on Friday, Feb. 8, at 8 p.m.as part of the free Noches Tropicales/Tropical Nights concert series presented by the Miami-Dade County.

The concert offers a casual, family-style atmosphere with open field seating. Admission and parking are free for this event.

Enjoy a free family-style concert at Country Village Park on Friday, January 18 at 8 p.m., featuring South Florida’s popular Swing music band—TK Blu. This live musical performance is part of the season’s expanded Noches Tropicales/Tropical Nights free concert series. Parking is free.

TK Blu delivers a high-energy stage performance and keeps the dance floor packed playing a savory mix of Swing and Rock-and-Roll classics by music legends like Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Supremes and Aretha Franklin.

The band consists of a trio of dynamic female vocalists (Sabrena Rich, Sandra Deal, and Jeanne Lynn Gray) and musicians led by famed musical director and bass player Tony Kessler.

Bring the kids along for a family friendly night of salsa dancing with Grammy-nominated Edwin Bonilla on Friday, December 7, at Tropical Park at 8 p.m., as part of the free Noches Tropicales concert series. Admission and parking are free for this event.

Enjoy free tropical and salsa music night at Tropical Park on Friday, October 19, led by Miami’s own “Siren of the Salsa” Elaine Hernandez.

All ages are invited and make it a picnic under the stars. It’s all part of the season’s free Noches Tropicales concert series presented by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and sponsored by Target.

Admission and parking are free for this event. Showtime is 8 p.m.

Hernandez, a Cuban-born singer/songwriter is known for her vocals, lyrics and stage presence. She can sing a bolero, a guaguancó or timba and it will become a whole new sound, as she infuses her own unique rhythm, soul and style into each and every song she sings.

Enjoy a free a Latin jazz concert on Friday, Sept. 21, 8 p.m., at Miami-Dade County Auditorium.

Performers include Grammy award-winning and nominated artists Joan Cartwright, Nicole Yarling, Carlos Averhoff, Kiki Sanchez, Edwin Bonilla, Andy Harlow, Niki Orta, Nomar Negroni, and Daniel Berroa.

The evening will feature a tribute to late Cuban music legends Celia Cruz and Cachao, who performed with many of the artists during their career.

Free tickets for the opening concert are available at the Miami Dade County Auditorium Box Office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., or at the Tropical Park Office, 7900 SW 40 St., Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Limit four tickets per person. It’s the first concert in this season’s Noches Tropicales series of free concerts.

On Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m., celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at a salsa dance party. Performing will be Orquesta la Tradicion, featuring Andy Harlow of the Fania All-Stars and WDNA radio.

The concert is the first of this season’s Noches Tropicales events presented by Miami-Dade Parks. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to Tropical Park, 7900 SW 40 St.
