fireworksMiMo Magazine has come up with a collection of coupons for restaurants and services on Miami’s Upper Eastside, good Saturday, July 4, only:

Deals include:

* A free glass of sangria or bellini with any main course at Le Cafe Bistro.

* Free glass of wine or beer with any main course at Anise Taverna.

* Rent one, get one free at New Concept Video (this one is good all weekend).

* Free glass of wine with any meal at Uva 69. (Free tapas and $6 drinks during happy hour, 4 to 8 p.m., and you don’t need a coupon for that.)

* Free dessert with any two meals at Metro Bistro.

There also are printable coupons for Moshi Moshi, Ver Daddy and Moonchine Bistro. To get these deals, you’ll need to print out the online coupons.

Wine 69 also has July 4 deals:  2-1 wines by the glass from 6 to 8 p.m. and 30 percent off American wines with dinner.

And, the News Lounge is offering free barbecue 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday, July 4.

Little bites for $2 to $5 Saturday

mimoonbiboWondering where to have lunch Saturday, March 28? Try the Taste of Mimo on Miami’s Upper East Side.

You can sample dishes from the restaurants in Miami’s Biscayne Boulevard Historic Miami Modernism District for $2 to $5.

A total of 11 restaurants on Biscayne Boulevard from Northeast 67th Street to Northeast 78th Street will partcipate in the event, which lasts from noon to 5 p.m. This is the second to last taste of the year. The final event will be May 2, the Cinco de Mimo festival.

Participating restaurants (from south to north) are Kingdom, Uva 69, Wine 69, Casa Toscana, Moonchine, Moshi Moshi, Che Soprano, Le Cafe, Ver Daddy’s Taco Shop, Red Light and Anise Waterfront Taverna. And, for the first time, Michy’s is participating.

A Belle Meade/ Biscayne Boulevard Walking Tour, covering 160 years of recorded history of Northeast Miami, will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Vagabond Motel, 7301 Biscayne Blvd. A $10 donation for the Biscayne MiMo Association is requested.
