Celebrate America at Mall of the Americas during its month of Independence celebration with its free Arts & Crafts showcase, featuring items made right here in the USA. A shopping opportunity for gifts, there will also be food, lively music and activities for the kids. Open during regular mall hours, 10 .m.-7 pm.,  Sunday, July 15.

$1 movies at AMC Theaters

kungfupanda AMC’s Summer Movie Camp will show family movies for $1 at 10 a.m. Tuesdays June 15 through Aug. 10.

In Miami-Dade, those films will be shown at the Aventura 24, Mall of Americas 14 and Sunset Place 24.
