The Summer Movie Express at Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres are showing family-friendly dollar movies this summer. The films, rated G or PG, will be shown on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10.

See Bingo with the Indians performed by students at Miami-Dade College. The play is the story of what happens when a disgruntled East Village theater company goes to a small New England town. Free performances take place through Feb. 26. Showtime is 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24 and 25; on Sunday, Feb. 26, the curtain goes up at 2 p.m. Part of MDC’s On Stage series, the play will be presented in the Studio Theater of the Martin and Pat Fine Center for the Arts on the Kendall Campus, 11011 SW 104 St.
On Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m., students of music, dance and theatre at Miami Dade College’s Kendall campus present a musical interpretation of Shakespeare’s Othello.
Five students will read selected scenes from the play, accompanied by the MDC Wind Symphony. It happens in the McCarthy Auditorium at MDC Kendall, 11011 SW 104 St.
On Thursday, Nov. 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., women are invited to Men of Dadeland, a Girl’s Night Out.
The event features a fashion show with local male celebrities, mingling with this year’s South Florida Firefighter calendar models and complimentary cocktails and hors d’ouevres. It happens at Dadeland Mall, 7335 N. Kendall Dr.
There’s someplace new to take your canine companion on a cheap date. West Kendall District Park is now home to a dog park with all the bells and whistles such as including dog drinking fountains and comfort stations.
