The event is September 29.

Discounts for Disney On Ice

For select performances of Worlds of Fantasy in South Florida, a deal is available that offers four tickets for $48.

The math works out to $12 a ticket for the family-friendly ice-skating show. The regular prices for similar tickets are $18 to $30.

To receive the 4-for-$48 deal, shoppers need to specify a code word when ordering tickets online or by phone, 800-745-3000

The word is MOMMY.

The show is at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise and American Airlines Arena in Miami various dates to September 16. The four-for-$48 deal is available for most shows, with some exceptions.

Another opportunity for discount tickets is available from Goldstar.

The Goldstar deal offers discounted prices of $10 to $16, plus fees, which range from $6 or $7.

Here’s a great deal we read about in the Sun-Sentinel’s The Go Guide blog:

Seraphic Fire, whose Vespers of the Blessed Virgin 1610 is a best-seller on iTunes, is offering free tickets this season to any music lover 30 or younger. To get the deal, go through the normal ticket ordering process and use promo code U30. The number of free tickets is limited, and you’ll have to show ID with proof of age to pick up your tickets.

If there are any tickets left over, they will be offered free to patrons 30 and younger 10 minutes before each show.

This season’s first concert is Sept. 30. If you’re as old as I am, tickets are $35.

Monster jam ticket winners

Congratulations to the winners of our Monster Jam ticket drawing, Sara Kloor and Judy Manger. They’ll be attending the monster truck show free this weekend with three family members each, courtesy of the show’s organizers, who donated the tickets for the giveaway.

We’re giving away two sets of four tickets to Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam Summer HEAT, which runs Aug. 20-21 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise.

Monster Jam features monster trucks, which are 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide and set atop 66-inch tall tires. They can fly up to 130 feet.

Show are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20; and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for kids in advance and $22 and $11 at the door. You can get $5 discount coupons at participating Metro PCS stores.
