Ludacris will perform on Saturday, June 11, after the Florida Marlins game vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:10 p.m. The concert is free with admission to the ball game. It happens at Sun Life Stadium, 2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens.
The DWNTWN Miami Concert Series returns to the city on Friday, Oct. 8.
The season’s first show features City of God and Lanzallamas Monofonica.
The free show starts at 5:30 p.m. at Bayfront Park, in Miami.
If you show up with four friends, head over to the DDA booth and pick up a free DWNTWN umbrella or backpack.
Other free shows are Nov. 12, Jan. 14, Feb. 11, March 11 and April 8.

Free Gospel Sundays is back this year with four shows headlined by top gospel acts.
Tickets are free for the four Sunday events at Miami’s Knight Concert Hall, but advanced registration is required.
Due to the popularity of these free shows, tickets often sell out quickly.
Registration for the first show opens on Sunday, Sept. 12. That show features gospel legend Shirley Ceasar, on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. Sign up for free tickets here.

The Alliance Francaise de Miami is holding its annual free music fest, just as it’s done all over France each year. The Fete de la Musique is Sunday, June 20, and the festivities include music, performances, food and other activities.

The Ying Quartet will perform a free recital at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 at the University of Miami’s Gusman Concert Hall in Coral Gables.
The quartet also will do a master class at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Gusman Concert Hall. The class is free and open to the public.
The South Florida music community has come together to present a two-day benefit concert to raise money to help Haiti recover from the disastrous earthquake.
Performers will include Haitian big band The Dixie Band featuring all star guests like Tuco Bouzi, members of Tabou Combo and Top Vice, Strings, Nu-look and more; Kazak International; Locos Por Juana, The Spam All Stars, Suenalo, Conjunto Progreso, Afrobeta, Lanzallamas Monofonica, TapTap Band, Rara Rock and Empress Addi; Jean P Jam, Jah Fe, Mr. Pauer and more.
This concert is presented by a large group of volunteers and sponsors including The Rhythm Foundation, La Juana Productions, Bayfront Park Trust, Gigs Up Productions, Spuntino Catering, Gibson USA, 88.9FM WDNA, Miami New Times and the musicians and artists performing this weekend.
ALL proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. Suggested donation is $10.

The Coffee House Gypsies (photo) and The Bailouts, and artist Celia Crespo will join forces at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in a concert to benefit the fight against breast cancer. The event will take place on the second floor of Tobacco Road, 626 S. Miami Ave., Miami.
Admission is $7, and a portion of all door and ticket sales will go to The Susan G. Komen For The Cure Miami/Ft Lauderdale affiliate.
The Miami Gay Men’s Chorus vocal ensemble will give a free concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Miami Beach Community Church, 1620 Drexel Ave., which is really Lincoln Road.
The concert is called “The Circles of Our Lives” and will focus on the “important things in life,” which the chorus lists as “birth, death, legacies, love and coffee.”
BankAtlantic Center has a deal for tickets to the Il Divo concert on Friday, June 26: Buy three tickets and get one free.
The email announcing the deal doesn’t say whether all price tickets or just certain ones are included in the deal, and there is no link to buy tickets online.
