Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits restaurants in the Southeast are selling coupon books with coupons worth $30 for just $1. A number of restaurants in Miami are participating.
The deal is a fund-raiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association by the Sailormen company, which owns Popeye’s restaurants in seven states. You can find a participating restaurant here.

On Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7, from noon to 4 p.m., the Pollo Tropical restaurant across the street from Dolphin Stadium at 19500 NW 27th Ave. will attempt to break the record set in the Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Bowl of Salsa.
The larger-than-life salsa bowl will be created as part of a free big, family-friendly tailgate party.
The free Pollo Tropical tailgate party will offer Pollo Tropical food samplings, live music, a children’s bounce house, a kids’ pavilion with activities and lots of giveaways.
For each spectator who participates in the record-breaking event, Pollo Tropical will donate a meal to the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade.
