Check out the latest exhibitions by local, professional and emerging artists, while enjoying live music and wine at several stops.

Miami Science Museum is offering Tripod +, a series of 10 free, monthly hands-on science workshops for Spanish-speaking families. The programs, available to up to 30 people per session, are open to families with children in grades three through six. Pre-registration is required.

All programs take place from 1-3 p.m. and lunch will be provided.

The first Little Haiti Sunday Stroll noon to 6 p.m. the first Sunday every other month, and is a cooperative between many of the local businesses located between 54th Street and 62nd Street, and from NE 4th Ave to NE 2nd Ave.

Double the size of the “Wynwood Art Walk,” this event is a daytime, family-friendly event.

The art pieces will capped at selling price at $250 per item. Resident Artists may have more expensive work in their studios.

The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum hosts one free Wednesday admission one time per month. There is a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. with a lecture and a chance to meet the artists.

On Wednesday, Feb. 27, the museum will hold the opening reception of Jose Manuel Ballester: Concealed Spaces, Eugene Savage: The Seminole Paintings, Deep Blue by Javier Velasco, The Healing Spirits of the Waters and Aesthetics & Values 2013. The evening will include music, light refreshments and guided tours.

Free Target Wednesdays at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum will take place on December 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Join the museum for the free opening reception for two new exhibitions: all & sundry: everybody, collectively and individually.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts students in the Art & Art History Department will present a series of works produced during their tenure at FIU. The exhibit is curated by Tori Arpad-Cotta.

Fall 2012 Master of Art Education Students’ Exhibition: The Master of Art Education students in the College of Education will present a series of works produced during their tenure at FIU. The exhibit is curated by FIU Art Education Professor David Chang.

Evening will include guided museum tours, light refreshments and music by FIU’s Radiate FM.

Our friends at Culture Shock Miami are promoting Soundscape Park at the New World Center on Miami Beach where you can enjoy free Art Videos during Art Basel week through December 8.

Art Video Nights will showcase 60 film and video works on the 7,000-square-foot outdoor projection wall of the Frank Gehry-designed New World Center.

Selections drawn from the participating galleries of Art Basel Miami Beach include works by a wide array of artists, both emerging and established, from Latin America, the United States, Asia and beyond.

Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.
