Ruby Tuesday & Applebee’s offer gift card deals

The bonuses are offered in May and part of June, when folks are shopping for gifts for graduation, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

  • Applebee’s offers a $10 digital bonus card with purchase of $50 digital gift cards by June 30. The digital gifts may be purchased online or at participating Applebee’s. They are sent by email or on Facebook. Usually, the bonus cards feature restrictions on when they may be redeemed.
  • Ruby Tuesday provides $15 bonus card with an online gift card  purchase of $50.  As with many other similar restaurant bonus deals, some restrictions are tied to the bonus card. For the Ruby Tuesday deal, a bonus card needs to be redeemed by July 15. The bonus value is applied to food purchases, and excludes  alcohol, tax and gratuity.

Applebee’s offers gift card bonus

applebees applebees aSpent $50 on digital gifts from Applebee’s and earn a bonus $10 to spend at the restaurant.

The $10 bonus is offered with eligible purchases to February 17.

Digital gift cards are purchased online and sent to the recipient online and by phone, if requested.  With the $10 bonus digitial gift card,   various restrictions apply. Among the restrictions, the card needs to be used for a single transaction by a specific date, and alcohol is excluded.

Most deals for military personnel are available November 11. Some are offered November 12, or both days. Most require appropriate military ID.

Here are some of the merchants offering deals in South Florida. Not all local establishments participate in national promotions, so it’s good to call ahead to verify the deal.

  •  Participating Applebee’s: free entree from select menu November 11 to veterans and those on active duty
  • Olive Garden: free entrée November 11 for eligible military staff
  • Participating Einstein Bros.: free bagel November 11 for most of the day for military guests
  • Outback Steakhouse restaurants: free Bloomin’ Onion and soft drink to veterans and those on active duty on November 11 and November 12; Military Mates 10 percent discounts November 13 to December 31
  • Golden Corral restaurants: free dinner 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. November 12 — a Monday — for veterans and active U.S. military.

  • California Pizza Kitchen: free pizza and a non-alcohol beverage for veterans and active duty staff November 11 and November 12. Valid for dine-in guests.

The free bonuses tie in nicely with folks shopping for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and graduations. Or purchase a gift card for yourself to take advantage of the perk.

Here is a list of the various restaurants offering gift card bonuses to at least June 17.  The bonus rewards generally must be redeemed within specific time frame.

  • Participating Applebee’s restaurants offer a free $10 bonus card with each $50 worth of gift cards. The deal is offered to June 24 and is only available at participating restaurants
  • Chipotle offers a free burrito, bowl, tacos or salad with a receipt from a purchase of at least $30 worth of graduate gift cards. Offer valid to June 30
  • Carrabba’s restaurants offer $10 bonus card with each $50 worth of gift card purchases to June 17
  •  Brio restaurants offer $10 bonus card with each $50 worth of gift cards to June 17

Now we’ve found a few deals.

WLRN public radio will send 18 or 30 roses to your sweetheart with a $100 or $150 donation made by Feb. 12. You can call 866-247-9576 or pledge with a credit card online. The deal is available in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade.

  • Denny’s is offering a voucher for free pancake puppies to you and your sweetheart when you sent an e-card available on the Denny’s website.
