 The 1st annual Redland Fish Fry at the Fruit & Spice Park will feature free festivities lakeside, seafood and live stage performances by local bands throughout the day. The event will take place on November 10 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and November 11, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be children’s activities, including pony rides and an interactive fishing zone. Young anglers will have an opportunity to learn correct fishing techniques, such as knot tying, lure selection, fish identification and casting. Visitors of all ages are also invited to attend a free workshop on the fundamentals of kayak fishing.

Additional food and beverage items will be available for purchase, including fresh roasted corn on the cob, funnel cakes, ice cream, milk shakes and frozen lemonade.  Featured bands will include: “Shadow Creek” “B-Sharp Steel Drums,” “Watch Fire,” “Kaylee Rose” and “Sarah Packiam.

Admission is $8 for adults, and free for children ages 11 and under. The event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.fruitandspicepark.org, or call 305-247-5727.
