Here’s your chance to do something good for the community and help an organization you’re passionate about. Head to Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus for the Third Annual Philanthrofest outdoor festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, at 300 NE 2 Ave., Miami.
With more than 100 South Florida nonprofit groups set to be in attendance, no doubt you can find one that needs your help. The festival features art exhibitions, musical performances, demonstrations, health screenings, a green market, food trucks and other activities.
Attendees can learn about nonprofit organizations representing various causes, including business and economic development; education; animal welfare; arts and cultural development; environmental issues; food, agriculture, and nutrition; civic engagement; health and disease prevention; youth activities, sports and recreation; and community improvement.
This is the ideal opportunity to pay it forward and find a nonprofit to support. For anyone attending in need of services, nonprofits and community agencies will be on hand to explain who they serve, what they do and how to qualify for their services.
