The Archbishop Curley Notre Dame Prep Cross-Country team invites the community to join the free Summer Fun Runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m.  through July 31.

The group meets at the Miami Shores Recreation Center, 9617 Park Dr., Miami Shores, FL 33138.

This school and community tradition has grown from about seven runners per week to a total 354 runners in 15 gatherings. This is the 18th year. Athletic experience ranges people who have never run before to a 25-marathon runner, with ages from 11 to 60.

Coach Brother John Corcoran has designed three courses of gradually increasing mileage: one for beginner runners or walkers, a second for recreational runners and joggers, and a third for advanced or competitive runners. By the end of July, distances will range from three to seven miles, with no pace ever being set.
